S’EX BOOK REVIEW

Author: Victorine Mbong Shu

Book reviewer: Tshepho Seakamela

I start this review by commending Victorine for writing such an intelligent book and her courage for discussing such a sensitive subject such as sex without pulling back any punches. This book addresses one of the greatest needs which humans have and which has either made or broke so many marriages in this generation. It reminds us about the importance of communication in relationships and it helps people to understand their partners better. S’EX is a very important tool for people who have a serious intention to please their partners.

What makes me to love this book the most is the unique writing style which makes it exciting to read, it is not just a technical manual with big terms and concepts but it is personal and easy to relate with. In the book we meet characters such as Ebo, Janet, Aleh and Victorine the coach, these characters are just typical ordinary people who have the same challenges that we have. With the author being the mother of four children she uses this platform to share her experience as a mother in a long term marriage and this is why I got to feel what the characters feel and I can empathise with them. I believe that many people are also going to see themselves in the book and they are going to transform their thinking about sex.

I recommend this book for a whole lot of people, couples- young and old, both those who have children and those who do not have children. It will also be enjoyed by people who love knowledge and receiving information because of its richness in well researched information. S’EX must be promoted in churches and in communities as it is a long awaited tool that is going to bring back the spark in marriages. Regardless of who you are and how much you know, I am certain that there is something that you can take away from this book.

BLESSED IS ANYONE WHO HAS A PARTNER THAT HAS READ THIS BOOK.
