In recognition of the women’s month 2018, this ceremony the which held in Pitermaritzburg (the City of Choice), on the 10th of August honoured 10 most influential women in the literary scene in South Africa. The Fountain Category was scooped by 11-year-old Stacey Fru who has 3 published books to her name. Her 1st book Smelly Cats was written without her parents’ knowledge when she was only 7 years old and published when she was 8. Bob and the Snake written at 8, published at 9, and Smelly Cats on Vacation written when she was 8 and published in July 2018. As the Fountain that the organisers see her to be, Stacey dedicated her Award to all the children who do not feel safe and secured to blossom in their inspirations like she does.
