In 2015, Stacey Fru made history when she published her first book written without her parent’s knowledge when she was only 7. Her mother, Victorine Mbong Shu only published in 2016.
Although Stacey is more dynamic than Victorine, both of them are multiple award winners, Public Speakers, TV Hosts, and Entrepreneurs. The pair is making history as they change the tides on reading and writing within the African continent. They both talk to every audience on the importance of books, books and books. The biggest group Stacey has spoken to is over 2500 people from government Ministers, academics, business people, employees, sports people, to nursery learners. Stacey is possibly Africa’s youngest multiple award winning author who wrote an illusted 108 pages book titled; ‘Smelly Cats’ without her parents’ knowledge at the tender age of 7. She wrote a second book; ‘Bob and the Snake’ at 8. Before she turned 9, she had accumulated 3 awards for her books and her works. Now 10, stacey has helped many to realise that you are never too young or too old to live your dream. Stacey writes books, poems, attempts songs. She is a motivational speaker, storyteller, guitarist, ballerina, TV host, chairlady, and teacher. Stacey is the youngest founding member of the Wits University Centre for Multilingual Education and Literacy. Victorine Mbong Shu
Victorine is in education and training since 2002. She is a BrandSA Ambassador who has transformed into an Involved Parenting Activist. She is a Researcher, a Transformational Speaker, Mentor, Assessor, Moderator, CEO of Profounder Intelligence Management Services, mother of 4 and wife. She is an Award-Winning Author of the books; ‘Stop Complaining! and Bring Back Involved Parenting,’ and ‘Trapped in our shadows.’ Victorine and Emmanuel are raising 4 bubbly children, including Africa’s youngest multiple award-winning author of chapters’ books, 10-year-old Stacey Fru.
